In the OCC, Flight Operations Officers (FOOs) serve as flight dispatchers or traffic coordinators, handling flight planning, coordination, and in-flight support. FOOs play a critical role as the central link between the aircraft in the air and ground services, air traffic control, and flight and ground crews. Their priority is to ensure that flights are conducted safely, efficiently, cost-effectively, with environmental awareness, and on time.

Crew Planning and Control teams are responsible for compliance with crew rest and duty time regulations, always balancing efficiency and flight safety with crew wellbeing.

Additional roles, such as Maintenance Controllers and other OCC specialists, play crucial parts in this coordinated effort, ensuring smooth operations.

Our Flight Operations Academy was established to provide competency-based training and development for Flight Operations Officers and has continually expanded its services to meet the needs of an international clientele. Experienced FOOs, pilots, meteorologists, and other experts deliver basic, recurrent, and refresher training at your location, in our virtual classroom, or at one of our training centers.

We tailor our training to meet your specific requirements while ensuring compliance with ICAO DOC 10106, IOSA DSP 3.5 & 3.6, EASA ORO GEN 110, and the latest EASA NPA 1_2023 guidelines.

Objective

The goal of our training programs is to equip both new and existing Operations Control Center (OCC) personnel with essential competencies and to further develop core skills within established teams. Through realistic scenarios and tasks, participants gain hands-on experience in addressing common OCC challenges and reinforce key skills critical to effective performance.

Content

Risk Analysis and Assessment: Strategies for risk evaluation and mitigation in flight preparation and daily flight operations.
Optimization Processes: Efficient resource planning, including aircraft and crew allocation.
Flight Planning Processes: Flight data analysis, information assessment and categorization, as well as communication and teamwork skills.
