Selection Procedure for the Cockpit Crew
NEUTRAL ASSESSMENT OF PILOTS
Whether a pilot has what it takes to join your airline, whether a first officer is ready for a command upgrade, or whether a seasoned pilot would also make a great instructor – we’ll find out for you as part of our Pilot Assessment. Our experienced instructors independently evaluate pilots with regard to their suitability for a new role with your airline. You can then make an informed decision based on our experts’ recommendation.
The one-day Pilot Assessment sessions take place at one of our 12 Lufthansa Aviation Training locations. They are carried out by a licensed instructor; each consist of three modules:
- Personal impression
- Theoretical test
- Practical test in the full flight simulator for all common aircraft models from the Airbus, Boeing, and Bombardier families.
The precise procedure for the Pilot Assessment depends on the role in question and the experience level of the candidate. We will naturally tailor the assessment to your individual needs.
