Pilot training - integrated Bachelor of science in aviation at the ZHAW and EFA (for ATPL)

At ZHAW, the Zurich University of Applied Sciences, you can pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation while simultaneously training as a commercial pilot (ATPL) through a unique partnership with the European Flight Academy. This integrated program is one of a kind in Switzerland and opens up diverse opportunities in the aviation industry. This dual educational path not only equips you with comprehensive knowledge in aviation but also sets you on the path to a potential career as a pilot with SWISS or Edelweiss upon graduation.

The Bachelor’s program in Aviation provides you with the theoretical foundations required for pilot training at the European Flight Academy. Practical training sessions take place during semester breaks at the European Flight Academy, allowing you to seamlessly blend academic studies with hands-on pilot education. The program also covers essential subjects like aviation law, business administration, computer science, and the necessary scientific and specialized knowledge for a career in aviation.

Building on this foundation, you can tailor your studies further by specializing in areas such as “Technical Engineering” or “Operational Engineering” as you progress in the program.
